We are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers, associates and visitors.

Note for United States Residents

Certain states have additional privacy rights regarding their person information. Although Geoff Swetz Creations does not qualify under the new regulations, we already operate with the spirit of the GDPR (see section below), and will comply with anyone wanting to view, change, or delete their personal information.

Your Personal Information

Geoff Swetz Creations is the sole owner of the information collected on our website or via our office personnel. You can visit www.GeoffSwetzCreations.com without telling us who you are and without revealing any personal information about yourself. However, to access certain portions of the website such as to send us a message via the contact form, you have to provide us personal information such as your name and e-mail address. By providing personal information you explicitly agree to our collection and use of all such information as described in this Privacy Policy. You agree that we may use the personal information you provide to respond to your inquiries and contact you regarding customer service, inform you about our photography services which may be of interest to you or to personalize our service to meet your needs or preferences.

How Information is Collected

Information is collected in several different ways which are outlined below. The only specific identifiable information that we obtain about you is the information that you explicitly and voluntarily supply to us when you use our site, call or email us.

  1. Contact Form/Email – If you send us a message via our website contact form, we require you to enter your name and email address so that we can respond to your inquiry. If you send us an email directly (not through our web form) we will use the information that you give to us in your email so that we can better answer your inquiry.
  2. Comments/Reviews – When you leave comments on our blog posts we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
  3. Opt-in Form – If you opt-in to our mailing list, we require you to enter your first name and email address. We will use this information to send you occasional emails on new works of art along with available products and services we believe you will be interested in, and other occasional special notifications.
  4. Calling our office – When contacting our office, you may provide us with your personal information so that we can send you the information you request, or answer your inquiry.

How Information is Used

Any information that you provide us via our website or our office may be used to provide you with better service including answering your inquiry, and keeping you informed of future offerings via our mailing list. After your initial inquiry, we may contact you again via email, phone or postal mail depending on what information you provided.

We may use the information you provide to:

  • operate and maintain the website
  • send you promotional information, such as email newsletters. Each email promotion will provide information on how to opt-out of future mailings
  • send you administrative communications, such as technical notices, updates on policies, or security alerts
  • respond to your comments or inquiries
  • provide you with user support
  • track and measure advertising
  • protect, investigate, and deter against unauthorized or illegal activity.

Your Rights Regarding Your Information

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights to your personal data:

  • to access/view your information
  • to rectify/amend your information
  • to the portability of your information
  • to withdraw consent of our use of your information
  • to ask us to delete/erase your information
  • to restrict/object our processing of your information
  • to complain to a supervisory authority

Access / View / Change / Amend / Port your Information

You have the right, at any time for any reason, to view the information that we store about you. We will gladly tell you what information we keep in our records, and you can ask us to change or amend any of that information. Upon request, we can send you a file, such as an excel spreadsheet, with the information we have about you. We also appreciate any updates to your contact information such as a change in your email address. You can provide us with your updated information by using the appropriate link on the emails you receive, or by contacting us with the update.

Withdraw Your Consent to Receive Emails or Calls

To be removed from our marketing emails, you can do this by using the Unsubscribe link in emails that you receive. You may also send an email to Geoff@GeoffSwetzCreations.com asking to be removed along with the exact email address you wish to have removed. You may also call or postal mail our office with the request. If you have previously ordered a work of art or product you may not be completely deleted from our records unless you specifically request that we delete that information as well. We take all removal requests seriously.

Delete / Erase Your Information Completely

You may request at any time the deletion of all the information that we may have for you. We take all removal requests seriously. You may need to be removed from more than one database, and any oversight or delay is purely unintentional and will be corrected.

Be aware that requesting deletion, unlike unsubscribing from the email marketing list, is total and irreversible. This means that we will also lose record of you having ever been in our records, including any previous products purchased, or previous instructions you may have given us opting out of specific emails types. If in the future you re-join our email community, by voluntarily providing your personal information, you will appear to us as a completely new record.

To request deletion of your personal information, contact us at Geoff@GeoffSwetzCreations.com using the email address we hold for you or otherwise proving your identity.

Restrict / Object / Complain of Our Use of Your Information

At any time, you want us to keep your information but do not want us to use it, you may inform us of the request along with exactly how you do or do not want your data used. If you consider that our processing of your personal information infringes upon data protection laws, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority responsible for data protection.
